TRAVEL & ACCOMMODATIONS

TRAVEL & HOTELS

FLIGHTS

If you are flying to NYC you have the choice of 3 airports. We’ve made recommendations based on the time it takes to get to one of the hotels from our hotel blocks. We do not recommend renting a car for the wedding weekend since you’ll have to deal with parking and, besides, the public transit inside NYC is great! If you are planning a trip outside the city after the wedding we recommend picking up your rental the day you intend to leave.

LaGuardia

our top recommendation if you intend to take a taxi or uber to your hotel.

JFK

our top recommendation if you intend to take public transit to your hotel. We recommend JFK as it has only a single transfer via subway.

  • 45 minutes by car

  • 50 minutes via public transit to both the EVEN hotel and the Marriott hotel. We recommend JFK as it has only a single transfer.

Newark (not reccomended)

if possible we do not recommend flying to Newark because any taxi / uber will be more expensive because you will need to pay a toll going from New Jersey into New York.

HOTEL BLOCKS

For those who are traveling to New York City we have arranged for a limited number of hotel blocks at two hotels close to the venue. There will not be any pre-organized transport to/from the venue so please take that into account when choosing your hotel.

  • $360 USD per night

  • $384 USD per night for 2 double standard beds

Getting to the Montauk Club

TRANSIT WITHIN THE CITY

Subway & Public Transit

The best way to get around either to/from the airport or any activities/sightseeing you might want to do while in New York City.

  • Google/Apple maps + MTA app can help you find a route

  • Pay via credit card, apple pay, or google wallet

  • Tip: Some stations have entrances that only go "one way" (i.e. uptown or downtown).

Ubers, Lyfts, & Taxis

Using a ride share app or hailing a taxi can be useful for when you're wearing heels or your destination isn't convenient to any public transit, but can be costly for late night or long distance rides. We recommend setting up Uber or Lyft before you get to NYC so that you can easily use it when you need.

Citi Bikes

NYC has "city bikes" throughout the city. These are great for some trips. Sometimes your destination is a bit far from a subway station or it's too hot to walk 20 minutes. To use these you'll need to download the "citi bike" app.

Rental car

Having a car in the city can be a pain. Parking is expensive. If you do want to leave the city after our wedding we advise renting after the wedding is over.
